AUBURN MENíS SWIMMING COMPLETES FIRST DAY AT DALLAS MORNING NEWS CLASSIC

DALLAS, Texas -- Eight swimmers and one diver from the Auburn University menís swimming and diving completed the first day of the two-day Dallas Morning News Classic Friday night.
Brett Allen, Justin Caron, Kevin Clements, Jon Karr, Brad Knueven, Nick Kozyra, Richard Long, Andrew Sivulka and Scott Talbot-Cameron traveled to Dallas for the weekend to participate in the event which hosted No. 3 Tennessee, No. 22 SMU, No. 16 Minnesota, No. 10 Florida and Nebraska.
Clements claimed the top spot for the Tigers taking a third place in the 400-yard IM with a time of 3:56.46. Allen and Karr each earned a fourth place spot on the night with Allen finishing fourth in the 50 free (21.10) and Karr taking fourth in the 100 back (51.18).
The nine Auburn men will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 20 as the Dallas Morning News Classic continues while the rest of the team will be at home for an 11 a.m. dual meet with Florida State where three senior men, Greg Busse, Dave Denniston and Jeff Somensatto, will be recognized.
