AUBURN SWIMMING DEFEATS ALABAMA AND KENTUCKY- February 25, 2000

Results

Auburn, Ala.- The Auburn men's and women's Swimming and Diving teams defeated Alabama and Kentucky tonight at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. The AU women defeated Kentucky 123-87, and Alabama 167-11, improving their record to 8-0, and 6-0 in the SEC. The Tiger men defeated the Wildcats 193-39 and the Tide 202-16, improving their record to 6-1, and 5-0 in the SEC.

Freshman Malcolm Hosford won the 100 meter breast with a time of 1:00.62, automatically qualifying him for NCAA's, while senior Matt Busbee won the 50 meter free in 23.07, also an automatic qualifying time.

The Tigers will swim again tomorrow night at 6 p.m. in the AU Short Course Invite held in the Martin Aquatics Center. Admission is free.
