AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn’s divers wrap up the 2013 fall season this week at the Tuscaloosa Diving Invitational, which runs Monday through Wednesday at the Alabama Aquatics Center.

Auburn will compete against Alabama and LSU at the three-day event. On Monday and Tuesday, preliminaries will begin at 11 a.m. with finals taking place starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Alabama Aquatics Center. The men will open up the competition on the 1-meter, while the women will take to the 3-meter on Monday. The groups will switch boards on Tuesday and wrap up the competition with a one-list final in the platform beginning at noon on Wednesday.

The Tigers have performed well during their early competitions throughout the fall. Senior John Santeiu is coming off his second straight win on the 3-meter, after picking up a victory at last month’s Auburn Invitational. The Dearborn Heights, Mich., native added runner-up finishes in the 1-meter and the platform, respectively, to score key points for the Tiger men to help Auburn win the mid-season meet.

Michael Beran, Fraser McKean and Justin Youtsey will also compete for the Tiger men at the three-day event. The trio earned NCAA Zone Diving scores in the 1-meter and 3-meter at the Auburn Invitational, while Beran and McKean posted scores good enough for NCAA Zones in the platform final.

On the women’s side, juniors Cinzia Calabretta and Shanna Schuelein will compete in their final competition of the fall and look to continue to improve off their season-best scores at the Auburn Invitational. Calabretta finished second in her first competition of the season on the platform, while Schuelein scored 307.65 in the 3-meter at the Auburn Invitational to post a season-high mark for the Tigers.
