Oct. 24, 2017

Aly Tetzloff won all three of her individual events during Auburn’s dual meet against No. 5 Texas A&M and was named the SEC Female Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Tetzloff, a junior from Crown Point, Ind., won the 100 back (53.37), 100 fly (53.16) and 200 IM (2:00.43), all of which were NCAA ‘B’ cut times. Her 100 fly time is currently the fifth-fastest in the country and second in the SEC, while her 100 back time is currently 10th-fastest in the nation.

Tetzloff’s 100 back time was also a career-best, besting her previous best of 53.58 from the first dual meet of the season.

Auburn, which was ranked 15th in the preseason CSCAA Top-25, competes at home for a third straight week on Friday, playing host to Alabama at 1 p.m. at the Martin Aquatics Center. Diving will begin at noon and the senior class will be recognized at approximately 12:30 p.m.
