Auburn Hosts LSU And Notre Dame Friday

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn swimming and diving team opens its home schedule Friday as the squad welcomes SEC rival LSU to the James E. Martin Aquatics Center for a 3 p.m. meet. The Auburn women will face both LSU and Notre Dame that day in a tri-meet. "We're very excited to finally compete in our home pool and are anxious to see what we can do against LSU and Notre Dame," head coach Brett Hawke said. "With this being our last team competition until December, we are looking forward to this meet and hope to get strong performance from our student-athletes." Live results will be available and can be found on Auburn swimming and diving's schedule website. 2010-11 AUBURN SQUAD The Auburn men boast seven seniors, four juniors, eight sophomores and 11 freshmen. Seniors Dan Mazzaferro, Robert Looney and Kohlton Norys lead the way as team captains, while classmates Adam Brown, Adam Klein, Andrew Mitchell and Jared White will also be expected to lead the group to its 15th-consecutive SEC title.
LSU TIGERS - WOMEN The Tiger women finished the 2010 season with a seventh-place finish at the 2010 SEC Championships. The squad returns four All-Americans in senior Jane Trepp, sophomore Amanda Kendall and juniors Morgan McGee and Samantha Goates as well as 2010 SEC Female Freshman Diver of the Year Rebecca St. Germain. Trepp was a finalist in all three of her races at last year's SEC meet, while Kendall earned a pair of All-America honors in relay events last season.
