The Auburn swimming and diving teams open up the 2017-18 season this weekend with a two day, double dual meet at the Martin Aquatics Center.
The double dual meet will feature Auburn, Tennessee and Wisconsin and begins at 3 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.
“I’m really excited about where the team’s at,” head coach Brett Hawke said. “The team is working hard and I’m real happy with the response to the challenge we’ve set before them.”
Auburn is ranked No. 10 on the men’s side and No. 15 on the women’s side in the TYR / CSCAA Top 25 Preseason Poll. Tennessee is ranked 18th on the men’s side and 14th on the women’s side and Wisconsin is No. 25 in the men’s poll and No. 12 in the women’s poll.
“The competition will be really strong,” Hawke said. “I’m really looking forward to getting back to racing.”
The schedule of events for Friday are: 400 medley relay, 1000 free, 50 free, 200 IM, women’s 1-meter, 200 fly, 100 free, 200 back, men’s 3-meter, 200 breast and 200 free relay.
The schedule of events for Saturday are: 200 medley relay, 200 free, 400 IM, men’s 1-meter, 100 fly, 100 back, 500 free, women’s 3-meter, 100 breast and 400 free relay.
