AUBURN, Ala. - In preparation for the upcoming 2010-11 season, the Auburn swimming and diving team will hold its annual Blue and Orange meet Friday at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. The intrasquad meet is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. and the event is open to the public.

"This will be the team's first test of the season because it is always hard to go against your own teammates," head coach Brett Hawke said. "We hope this event will show us how the team's training has been going so far and it will also be a good chance to build team spirit before the season begins.

Preseason training continues for the next two weeks before the team opens up its season on the road at in-state rival Alabama. The Tigers face the Crimson Tide at 11 a.m. on Oct. 9 at the Alabama Aquatics Center.
