Seven Auburn Swimmers Prepare For Japan International Grand Prix

CHIBA, Japan - Seven Auburn swimmers are set to take on the World this week as part of the United States national team at the 2007 Japan International Grand Prix.

Emile Ewing (Madisonville, Ky.), Abby MacGregor (Louisville, Ky.), Julianne McLane (Concord, Calif.), Melanie Roberts (Raleigh, N.C.), Logan Madson (Bend, Ore.), Tyler McGill (Champaign, Ill.) and James Wike (Sterling, Ill.) all earned spots on the U.S. national team following their performances at the U.S. Senior National, July 31-August 5 in Indianapolis.

This week's Japan International Grand Prix kicks off on Tuesday, August 21 with the women's 400m IM, men's 200m butterfly, 400m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and the 400m freestyle relay.

Madson and McGill will both be in action in the 200m fly with Roberts competing in the 100m breast.

All of the events in the Japan International Grand Prix will take place at the Chiba International General Swimming Center in Chiba, Japan.
