AUBURN - Auburn diver Dan Mazzaferro posted two top-10 finishes Sunday in the final day of competition at the Kaiser Permanente USA Diving National Championships.
Mazzaferro's best finish came in the Synchronized Platform event as he teamed up with J.J. Kinzbach to finish third with a score of 369.90.
The Cheshire, Conn. native also competed in the Platform, finishing seventh out of the 12 divers that advanced to finals.
He scored a personal-best 429.30, finishing only four-tenths of a second out of sixth place.
"I'm really proud of the way he competed this weekend," said Auburn diving coach Jeff Shaffer. "He set himself up great for the World University Games next week and should have a boost coming into the fall season."
