Bricker Sixth on 3-Meter at World Championships Team Trials

ATHENS, Ga. – Auburn’s Matt Bricker scored an 1102.59 in the men’s 3-meter competition on Sunday to place sixth as the World Championships Team Trials came to a close at the Gabrielsen Natatorium on the University of Georgia campus.
“We had a pretty solid weekend all around,” AU Diving Coach Jeff Shaffer said. “Matt did a great job today and as I have said all weekend long, I could not be prouder of what our divers did here this weekend.”
Bricker improved his standings after the preliminary round, where he scored a 539.73 to enter the finals with the seventh-best score. Troy Dumais won the event (1272.39) while Philip Jones from Tennessee was second with a 1228.86.
