Feb. 9, 2011
AUBURN, Ala. - The 2011 championship season is set to kick off as the Auburn diving team travels to Gainesville, Fla., to compete in the first half of the 2011 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships on the campus of the University of Florida. The three-day competition starts Friday, Feb. 11, and concludes Sunday, Feb. 13. "We're ready to go and we've demonstrated right from the start of the season a level of consistency," head diving coach Jeff Shaffer said. "The SEC is one of the more difficult conferences to compete in, but when we look at our results it shows that we have been very successful this season. That gives us a great deal of confidence, understanding that if we take care of our business then we have a great chance of contributing to the overall team's success."
