AUBURN, Ala. – 12 Auburn seniors will compete in their final home dual meet at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center as the Tigers host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday.

The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. with men’s and women’s 1-meter diving and Senior Day ceremonies will begin at 10:40 a.m. on the pool deck. The swimming portion of the meet begins at 11 a.m. and admission is free.

Auburn’s group of seniors features two Olympians, four NCAA Championship winners and a class that has combined to earn 61 All-America honors. The men’s seniors are Marcelo Chierighini, James Disney-May, Zane Grothe, Peter Haas, Spencer Kerns, TJ Leon and John Santeiu IV. On the women’s side, the seniors are Emily Bos, Siena DeVenuto, Haley Krakoski, Aubrey Peacock and Hallie Stupp.

The Tigers look to snap a recent losing skid as both the men and women have dropped their last two dual meets. Auburn’s men (2-3, 1-1 SEC) look to bounce back from a 180-117 loss at Florida, while the women (3-2, 1-1 SEC) fell 173.5-124.5 against the Gators last Saturday on the road in Gainesville, Fla.

On the other side of the pool, the South Carolina Gamecocks visit Auburn for the first time since the 2005-06 season. The Gamecocks are competing in their final dual of the year before heading to the SEC Championships that run Feb. 18-22 in Athens, Ga. Auburn’s men lead the all-time series against the Gamecocks 11-1, while Auburn’s women are a perfect 7-0 all-time versus South Carolina.

Both South Carolina’s men and women enter Saturday’s dual at 4-1 overall and 1-1 against SEC teams this season. The Gamecocks defeated Division-II opponents Wingate and Queens in a tri-meet on Jan. 25 in their last home competition of the season.
