AUBURN, Ala. - On Feb. 14, Swim Across America will host a national, open invitation fundraising event, "Swim Quick", as a tribute to Auburn swimming and diving head coach Richard Quick, who has been diagnosed with an inoperable, cancerous brain tumor, and in an effort to raise money to find a cure.

Swim Across America, Inc., which is an organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming-related events, is asking those interested to participate by swimming in any pool in Quick's honor or donating to the Richard Quick Endowment.

For more information on the event, to register to swim or to make a donation to the cause, visit www.swimacrossamerica.org/swimquick. In addition to donating online, donations can be made by sending a check made payable to "Swim Across America" and noting Richard Quick in the memo line and mailing to Swim Across America, One International Place, Suite 4600, Boston, MA, 02110.

Swim Across America also has the following incentives for giving: For gifts of $100, receive an SAA bathing cap. For gifts of $250, receive a limited edition, SAA Richard Quick t-shirt and bathing cap. For gifts of $500, receive a Vineyard Vines baseball cap, the T-shirt and the batching cap. For any gift over $1000, you will receive an exclusive Swim Across America iPod shuffle, the t-shirt, the cap and the Vineyard Vines cap.
