LONG BEACH, Calif. - Former Auburn All-American Margaret Hoelzer won the 200-yard backstroke Saturday night at the Toyota Southern California Grand Prix of Swimming in Long Beach, Calif.

Hoelzer cruised to a decisive win, finishing more than four seconds ahead of the rest of the field in 1:55.15.

The 2007 Toyota Southern California Grand Prix of Swimming continues Sunday with prelims and finals of the men's and women's 200y free, 200y breaststroke, 50y free and 400y individual medley. Timed finals of the men's and women's 800y free relay will also be contested. Prelims begin at 9 a.m. (Pacific Time), and finals are at 5 p.m.
