Auburn-Texas Meet Opens Wednesday With 1-Meter Diving

AUBURN - The swimming and diving meet between national powerhouses Auburn and Texas will get an early start this week as the divers will contest the 1-meter springboard at 4:15 p.m., Wednesday at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. The remainder of the meet will begin at 3 p.m., Thursday and will showcase the 400 Medley Relay, 1,000 Freestyle, 3-meter diving, 200 Freestyle, 50 Freestyle, 400 IM (women), 200 IM (men), 200 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 500 Freestyle, Platform diving, 200 Breaststroke and the 400 Free Relay. Auburn's women are currently ranked seventh in the country with Texas three spots ahead at No. 4. The Tiger men's team is ranked eighth with the Longhorns holding the top spot in the nation. Admission is free to the Auburn-Texas dual meet at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center on the Auburn campus.
