Atlanta, Ga. - Defending national champion Steven Segerlin completed his three-event sweep on Sunday at the Georgia Tech Diving Invitational by winning platform.

Segerlin scored a 400.20 on tower and was a mere 3.50 points shy of breaking his own Auburn record that he set at the 2006 NCAA Championships (where he won the national title). En route to sweeping all three events during the two-day meet, Segerlin earned zone qualififers on each. Sunday's platform competition was Segerlin's first of the season.

Tiger newcomers Dan Mazzaferro and Kelly Marx rounded out the top-three. Mazzaferro came in second with a score of 297.55 and Marx was third with a score of 294.20, both were zone qualifying marks. Sophomore Scott Morgan ended up sixth with a career best 252.10.

On the women's side, senior Lynnsey Segraves placed third with a score of 251.55, just 8.45 points from the zone qualifying mark.

Diving action continues on Jan. 3-5 at the Georgia Diving Invitational.
