For nearly 100 years, Auburn track and field has had a close relationship with the Olympic Games. First sending an athlete to the 1928 games, the Tigers have been training athletes to represent their home countries ever since.

That was no different in 2012, when 14 current and former Auburn athletes or coaches represented his or her home nation in London.

Auburn picked up it's first medal with Percy Beard in 1932 and added two more in 2012 with Kerron Stewart and Marc Burns reaching the medal stand at the XXX games.
