For the first time since 2003, SEC West champion Auburn will host an NCAA Baseball Regional June 4-7.
The NCAA announced Monday that Clemson (No. 2 seed), Southern Miss (No. 3 seed) and Jacksonville State (No. 4 seed) have been selected to join Auburn (No. 1 seed) for the Auburn Regional at Plainsman Park.
NCAA Regional play in Auburn starts on Friday, June 4. Clemson will face Southern Miss at 2:00 p.m. CT. Auburn will play Jacksonville State at 6:00 p.m.
Coach John Pawlowski, his staff and our players achieved their first goal of making the Southeastern Conference Tournament, and hosting a Regional is another step forward for the program. I want to encourage the Auburn Family to do its part and come out to support the team.
The Regional is an NCAA event, but tickets can be purchased at www.autigertickets.com. Ticket books for the entire Regional are $75 for chairback seats or $50 for Tiger Terrace Seats. Ticket books for Auburn students are $25.
Tickets are currently on sale at autigertickets.com and the Auburn Ticket Office will open Tuesday, June 1, at 8:00 a.m. CT if you have any questions or would like to order in-person. In order to receive season ticket or TUF-baseball priority for the Regional, all orders must be placed by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1.
Current Auburn baseball season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase their normal seats, but we can't guarantee exact season ticket location since this is an NCAA event.
All-session ticket book orders placed by phone, online or in person can be picked up at the Auburn Ticket Office at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum beginning Thursday, June 3, from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., and Friday, June 4, from 8:00-11:30 a.m. Will-call and ticket sales will move to Plainsman Park starting at Noon on Friday and will remain there throughout the weekend.
Single session tickets, if available, will be sold at the Coliseum Ticket Office on Friday, June 4, from 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and then at Plainsman Park starting at Noon and will remain there throughout the weekend. The Plainsman Park ticket office will open at Noon on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and 4:00 p.m. on Monday (if necessary) for day-of-game purchases, if available.
It has been a great year for Auburn baseball. Auburn led the league in virtually every offensive category and is exciting to watch. Hunter Morris was recently named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, joining Brian Fletcher, Trent Mummey and Kevin Patterson on the All-SEC First Team.
In addition to Grant Dayton and Ryan Jenkins making the All-SEC Second Team, Cory Luckie was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. I know you join me in congratulating these players and this team, which has set its sights on bigger goals as the season has progressed.
Make plans to come to Auburn and help give our team a home-field advantage for the Regional. I hope to see you in Auburn.
God Bless and War Eagle!
