Auburn Athletics Department Marketing Internship 2013-14
The Auburn Athletics Marketing Department is seeking energetic, responsible, organized and dedicated individuals to serve as student interns for the 2013-14 school year. Applicants must be enrolled at Auburn University for both the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters to be considered for the internship. All majors will be considered. Below is a general job description for the internship:
Assist with developing and implementing marketing and promotional plans for Auburn Athletics sport programs
Execute game day promotions, activities and game operations for home athletic events and hosted postseason events (i.e. NCAA, NIT, SEC, etc.)
Assist with creating and executing ticket sales strategies and promotions
Coordinate special events, promotions and special recognition events
Other daily assignments as determined by the staff
Potential interns can apply for the following positions:.
Head Student Intern (1-2 students per year)
This is the only paid position within the student internship program. These interns will be required to work more hours, complete tasks outside of the office, and take on leadership responsibilities. The expectations will be extremely high for this position and applicants must be able to work in a high-pressure, competitive environment. Those interested in applying for this position must submit a proposed student marketing plan for an event of their choice (see application for details).
Office Intern (8-10 students per year)
Office interns will be required to work 3-4 hours in the office per week as well as assigned athletic events. This position can be considered for course credit contingent on the approval by one's college.
Event Intern (10 students per year)
Event interns will strictly work Auburn Athletics events. These students will be responsible for executing game day promotions and assisting with hosted postseason events.
*All internship positions will be reevaluated at the end of the Fall semester

Interviews will be conducted the weeks of April 8th and April 15th. All interested candidates must be available to work the A-Day spring football game on April 20th to be considered. The A-Day game will serve as a final evaluation in the selection process.
