Education: Travis received his bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in sport leadership from Auburn University in 2011. Travis also received his master's degree in Education with an emphasis in exercise physiology from Auburn University in 2013.
Job Responsibilities: Travis is currently responsible for the academic counseling of women's volleyball and men's and women's swimming and diving.
Past Experience: Travis came to Auburn after serving as the athletic academic advisor/student-athlete development coordinator at Old Dominion University, where he had academic responsibilities with football, men's and women's golf, and women's rowing. Travis was also responsible for coordination of all student-athlete development programs and events. Prior to Old Dominion, Travis spent a year at the University of Alabama as an athletic academic assistant with responsibilities of assisting with football, men's basketball, and tutorial services. Travis also spent two years at Georgia Southern University as an academic advisor/intervention specialist for the health and kinesiology department with the College of Health and Human Sciences.
Personal: A native of Tuskegee, Ala., Travis is married to Ruby Thomas and has one stepson, Tre Carter III.
