Education: McBride graduated from West Virginia University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
Job Responsibilities: McBride has over 20 years of cross-sector expertise in the world of collegiate and professional sports marketing, brand-building, high profile sponsorship/licensing deals, and ROI-focused partnerships and campaigns that not only drive exponential revenue growth, but continually evolve cultural brand relevance. Mike leads the ideation, evolvement and execution of all strategies related to the Athletics Department's multiple revenue streams, and the development of innovative initiatives that will cement and maximize the Department's revenue growth potential in highly competitive environments.
Past Experience: Prior to on-boarding with Auburn, Mike was a member of Under Armour's Sports Marketing team, having joined in 2009 with a directive to reinvigorate the brand's collegiate sports marketing efforts, and underpin the company's ambitious goal to become a major player in the performance apparel market worldwide. He spearheaded headline-making sponsorship deals such as their 2016 $280M agreement with UCLA, and lucrative agreements with multiple colleges, including Utah, Colorado State, Texas Tech, CAL and the United States Naval Academy. Before Under Armour, Mike was one of the top producers at Riddell, and he also served as the youngest Department Head in UCLA Athletics.
