Education: Garrett received his bachelor's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports management from Tennessee Tech University in 2011. He also received his master's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2013.
Job Responsibilities: Garrett assists with the equipment needs of all the sports here at Auburn. He also oversees shipping and receiving, the letterman award program, as well as the laundry facilities in athletics.
Past Experience: Garrett came to Auburn after serving as the Head Football Equipment Manager at Eastern Kentucky University, where he handled the equipment and apparel budget, as well as the day to day operations of practice and the equipment room. Prior to his tenure at EKU, Garrett was an Assistant Equipment Manager at Georgia State University where he originally worked with the football program before moving into another role within the university covering all 15 Olympic sports. Garrett also participated in a training camp internship with the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL, along with an internship at his alma mater Tennessee Tech. He was also an equipment manager during his time as Graduate Assistant at ULM and as an undergraduate student at Tennessee Tech.
Personal: A native of Columbia, Tenn., Garrett is married to Amber Hinson Garrett.
