34 Auburn Student-Athletes Named To SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll
April 25, 2012 AUBURN - A total of 34 Auburn student-athletes have been named to the 2011-12 Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, it was announced Wednesday by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. The 2011-12 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2011 Spring, Summer and Fall terms. Men's swimming and diving had the most athletes earn SEC Academic Honor Roll distinctions with 11. They include James Disney-May (Economics, Liberal Arts), Stuart Ferguson (Philosophy), Adam Godzinski (Supply Chain Management), Zane Grothe (Aerospace Engineering), Peter Haas (Political Science), Spencer Kerns (Biomedical Sciences Pre-Dentistry), Tofey Leon (Biomedical Sciences Pre-Med), Christopher Manning (History), Max Murphy (Political Science), Kyle Owens (Biomedical Sciences Pre-Med) and John Santeiu (Chemistry). The women's swimming and diving team was honored with nine selections. They are Anna Aguero (Psychology), Vanessa Dantin (Exercise Science), Laura Johnson (Pre-Mechanical Engineering), Rebecca Jones (Exercise Science), Haley Krakoski (Hotel and Restaurant Management), Lauren Norberg (Animal Sciences Pre-Vet), Lindsey Norberg (Animal Sciences Pre-Vet), Hannah Riordan (History) and Kelsey Winters (Psychology). Gymnastics was also honored with nine student-athletes selected in Justine Foster (Finance), Abbey Habicht (Accountancy), Kareen Kaveh (Marketing), Laura Lane (Applied Math Actuarial Science), Allyson Sandusky (Hotel and Restaurant Management), Kylie Shields (Health Promotion), Kendall Swartz (Apparel Merchandising Consumer Affairs), Leah Vining (Mathematics) and Petrina Yokay (Chemistry Pre-Med). The men's basketball team earned three selections in Josh Wallace (Civil Engineering), Dylan Spencer (International Business) and Bernard Morena (International Business). The women's basketball team was represented by Blanche Alverson (Biomedical Sciences Pre-Med) and Courtney Strain (Exercise Science).
