Dec. 4-10 // Desean Murray, Men's Basketball // Junior, Forward
Junior Desean Murray averaged 19 points and seven rebounds to lead Auburn Men's Basketball to wins over Gardner-Webb and in-state rival UAB. On the season, Murray is averaging 11.3 points and currently leads the team with eight rebounds per game.
Nov. 27 - Dec. 3 // Hugo Gonzalez, Swimming // Freshman, Backstroke/IM
Freshman phenom Hugo Gonzalez took down three Auburn school records in three days at the Georgia Invitational over the weekend. A native of Spain, Gonzalez also posted a national-best 1:39.05 in the 200 back on Sunday.
Nov. 20-26 // Ryan Davis, Football //Junior, Wide Reciever
Junior wide receiver, Ryan Davis broke an Auburn Iron Bowl record with 11 receptions against top-ranked Alabama en route to a 26-14 victory to clinch the SEC West Championship and secure a spot in the SEC Championship game. The Florida native also set the single season receptions record in the matchup with his 69th reception of the season, passing Darvin Adams (60) on the all-time list.
Nov. 13-19 // Unique Thompson, Women's Basketball // Freshman, Forward
Freshman Unique Thompson scored 27 total points and grabbed 21 total rebounds, including a double-double vs. Louisiana Tech, to lead Auburn women's basketball to two wins on the week. Thompson scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead Auburn to its 900th program victory on Thursday and then posted her first career double-double in a win over Louisiana Tech with 16 points and 14 rebounds. The freshman is averaging 12 points and 12.3 rebounds through the first three games of her career.
Nov. 6-12 // Kerryon Johnson, Football // Junior, Running Back
Heisman Trophy Candidate running back Kerryon Johnson posted 233 all-purpose yards en route to Auburn's dominating win over No. 1 Georgia. Johnson averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 167 yards rushing and added another 66 receiving yards on two catches. He found the end zone on a 55-yard pass play to seal the Auburn victory.
Oct. 30-Nov. 5 // Jarrett Stidham, Football // Sophomore, Quarterback
Jarrett Stidham threw three touchdowns in Auburn's SEC 42-27 road win at Texas A&M, helping the team improve to 7-2 on the season. Stidham completed 74 percent of his passes in 20-fo-27 passing including scoring strikes to Darius Slayton, Ryan Davis and Kerryon Johnson. Auburn put up nearly 500 yards of total offense and scored 40-plus points for the fifth time against SEC opponents and in all seven wins.
Oct. 23-29 // Brenna McIlroy, Volleyball // Sophomore, Outside Hitter
Brenna McIlroy totaled a match best 17 kills en route to Auburn volleyball's 3-1 win over South Carolina on the road. She also had a solid performance defensively with 17 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. She went 13-for-13 in serve receive and had one ace.
Oct. 16-22 // Luis Martinez, Swimming // Senior, Butterfly/Freestyle
Luis Martinez won two individual events and led the medley relay to a win in Auburn's dual meet victory over No. 15 Texas A&M. Martinez swept the butterfly events, winning the 200 in 1:47.48 and the 100 in 47.66. His fly time in Auburn's winning 200-medley relay event was a 21.00 flat. The 10th-ranked Auburn men's swimming and diving team improved to 2-1 on the season.
Oct. 9-15 // Kristen Dodson, Soccer // Senior, Forward
Kristen Dodson scored three of Auburn's five goals scored in wins over rival Alabama and 10th ranked Florida. She paced the Auburn attack in both matches as she turned in her sixth career brace and third of the season at Alabama and scored her 10th career game-winning goal against Florida. She leads the team in both goals (eight) and points (19) while also ranking tied for fourth and sixth, respectively, in the conference. Additionally, five of her goals this season have come in the last five matches.
Oct. 2-8 // Kerryon Johnson, Football // Junior, Running Back
Kerryon Johnson rushed for a career-best 204 yards and three touchdowns, en route to Auburn's 44, 23 win over Ole Miss. He averaged 7.3 yards per carry, off explosive runs of 26, 48, and 26 yards, in a game when the team posted 326 yards on the ground. In the past three games, Johnson has scored 11 touchdowns. He is the first player in the SEC to rush for three touchdowns in three straight games in the last 20 years.
Sept. 25-Oct. 1 // Jarrett Sidham, Football // Sophomore, Quarterback
Jarrett Stidham went 13 of 16 for 264 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Auburn's 49-10 SEC win over No. 24 Mississippi State. Stidham also completed four passes of 45 yards or more, including a 47-yard touchdown pass to Will Hastings, en route to the 500-yard offensive performance. For his performance, Stidham was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
Sept. 11-17 // Kamryn Pettway, Football // Junior, Running Back
Kamryn Pettway rushed for 128 yards and scored all three of Auburn's touchdowns in the team's 24-10 win over the Mercer Bears. The game marked the third career multi-touchdown game of his career, and his eighth 100-yard rushing game.
Sept. 4-10 // Shaina White, Volleyball // Sophomore, Middle Blocker
Shaina White played a big role for Auburn at the Puerto Rico Clasico, helping the Tigers go 2-0 over then-No. 16 North Carolina and NC State. Against the Tar Heels, White finished with 11 kills and had a team-best .333 hitting clip. With her help, Auburn's win over UNC was the program's third over a nationally-ranked opponent in as many years. White was also instrumental in the team's come-from-behind victory over the Wolfpack, having 12 kills and five blocks in the five-set win.
Aug. 28-Sept. 3 // Tre Williams, Football // Senior, Linebacker
Tre Williams led a defense that held Georgia Southern to just 78 yards of total offense and no points scored by the offense in Auburn's season opening 41-7 win. Williams posted 10 tackles and two sacks for a loss of 13 yards. The defensive attack yielded just eight first downs, eight passing yards and forced 11 punts.
Aug. 21-27 // Alyssa Malonson, Soccer // Freshman, Forward
Alyssa Malonson did her part in a pair of key non-conference matches for Auburn. She played 63 minutes as a forward and a defender in a top-15 matchup with Clemson on the road and had a shot on goal. Malonson then tied a career-high with two assists in a 2-0 victory over North Dakota.
Aug. 14-20 // Courtney Schell, Soccer // Senior, Midfielder
Courtney Schell paced Auburn to two results to open the 2017 season. She netted a goal in the sixth minute and was instrumental in a 3-0 shutout versus South Alabama. Schell then secured her second goal in as many matches from 25 yards out to guide a 2-2 draw with Lipscomb.
