Policies & Services
Overview of Services: Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) professionals provide direction for student-athletes via academic counseling in conjunction with advisors from the respective Dean's offices at Auburn University. Academic support services such as tutoring and supervised study table are also provided, as well as career planning, monitoring of eligibility status, and a host of other guidance and advisory services.
Each student-athlete is assigned to a Student-Athlete Support Services Counselor for their entire tenure of study at Auburn University. The SASS Counselors also help familiarize student-athletes with Auburn University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.
The SASS Eligibility Coordinator is charged with keeping records of progress toward graduation, as well as keeping abreast of SEC, NCAA, and Auburn University criteria for academic eligibility.
Auburn University and the Auburn Athletics Department take pride in the accomplishments of our student-athletes. In that spirit, every April the top student-athletes are honored at the Auspy Awards.
The Student-Athlete Development Center is located within the Athletic Complex at 392 S. Donahue Drive near the intersection of Donahue and Samford.
